If you want your parents or grandparents to visit you in Canada for longer than 6 months, the Super Visa may be the best option. A Super Visa is a special multi‑entry visitor visa that allows eligible parents and grandparents to stay in Canada for up to 5 years at a time and return many times over up to 10 years. I help you understand whether you qualify, organize the required documents, and prepare a strong application so your family can spend more time together with you in Canada.

What is a Super Visa?

A Parent and Grandparent Super Visa is a special type of visitor visa for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or registered Indians. It is not permanent residence; it is a long‑stay visitor visa. With a Super Visa, your parents or grandparents can:

  • Stay in Canada for up to 5 years per entry (instead of the typical 6 months on a regular visitor visa)
  • Enter and leave Canada multiple times over up to 10 years if the visa remains valid

I help families understand how this fits with their situation and whether it’s the right option compared to a regular visitor visa or eTA.

Super Visa Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a Super Visa, both the parent or grandparent and the child or grandchild in Canada must meet certain conditions.

For the person in Canada (host/sponsor):

  • Must be your child or grandchild (biological or adopted).
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or registered Indian.
  • Must be at least 18 and live in Canada.
  • Must meet or exceed the minimum income requirement (LICO) for their family size.
  • Must be willing to write and sign a letter of invitation for their parent or grandparent to come to Canada

For the parent or grandparent (applicant):

  • Must be outside Canada when they apply (Super Visa must be applied for from abroad).
  • Must be admissible to Canada (no serious criminal, security or medical issues).
  • Must complete an immigration medical exam.
  • Must have private medical insurance from a Canadian or approved insurer for at least 1 year, with coverage of at least $100,000 for emergency medical expenses.

I guide you through each of these requirements so nothing is missed and everything is clearly explained.

Who is this service for:

This service is for:

  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents who want their parents or grandparents to visit for long periods.
  • Families who find the income requirement, letter of invitation, and medical insurance confusing.
  • Parents or grandparents who have been refused a regular visitor visa and may benefit from a Super Visa instead.
  • Anyone who wants to reduce stress and avoid common mistakes in the Super Visa process.

How I can help:

When families work with me on a Super Visa, they get:

  • A clear explanation of whether the Super Visa is the best option for their situation.
  • Help with the host income documents and letter of invitation so it meets IRCC expectations.
  • Review of the entire application, including the medical exam, passport, and forms, so it feels strong and complete.
  • Plain‑language answers to questions about how long they can stay, how many times they can come, and what happens if their stay is extended inside Canada.

How it works:

  1. First chat about your family: We’ll talk about who is applying, who is the host, and what your usual visit pattern looks like.
  2. Check eligibility and income: I’ll help you confirm if the host meets the minimum income requirement and what documents you’ll need.
  3. Prepare documents and insurance: I’ll guide you on the Super Visa insurance, medical exam, invitation letter, and other supporting documents.
  4. Review and submit: I’ll review your full application, make sure everything aligns, and help you submit it so you feel confident and ready.
